I’m not too worried about the Tauriel/Kili “romance”…

First of all because Aidan himself admitted that Kili knows nothing can ever really happen between them, he just has a crush on her. It sounds more like a minor flirtation (like Gimli’s admiration for Galadriel) than a full-scale romance, and at this point we have no reason to believe it’s going to derail the story.

But also…I absolutely cannot fucking wait to see Thorin’s reaction to his nephew drooling over an Elf. It will be priceless.
